While most spirit brands market more towards men, women are becoming a more extensive consumer base with purchasing power. One study shows that 41.2% of female respondents chose liquor and spirits as their favorite types of alcoholic beverages in 2019. Another study shows that women account for 54.5% of US vodka sales and more than 30% of whiskey sales. 

However, the gender disparity in the industry persists. In 2018, women held only 4% of C-suite roles in wine and spirits.
